Loake Shoemakers

The Loake family has been producing fine, handmade men's footwear since 1880. The tradition began when three brothers - Thomas, John and William - opened a factory in Kettering, Northamptonshire in the heart of the English shoemaking industry.

The aim was to provide the most handsome, comfortable and durable gentlemen's shoes possible. Five generations later, they remain just as passionate about the quality and craftsmanship that makes Loake shoes among the best in the world.

The Goodyear welted construction for which Loake is renowned is an intricate process.  Only the very highest quality materials are used and each pair takes eight weeks to make.

Of course, as things move on, Loake now also design and produce a range of shoes outside the UK, using a variety of constructions. Which means that, along with the Goodyear welted styles, Loake now offer a complete wardrobe of shoes suitable for every occasion.
